How’d you do that poll?
Instructions on how to poll: https://support.zoom.us/hc/en-us/articles/213756303-Polling-for-Meetings

i deleted announcement section at beginning of semester. MUSC 416 and 418. thank you for restoring
You can allow files to be posted, but be careful: if you allow attachments students often fail to put text in the text box, and instead upload a Word doc. (Ugh)
Is that reasonably accessible via phone?
(I mean, can people with only mobile devices participate well in moodle’s chat function?)
Good questions, Elise. I am focused on near universal access for all of my students. I need a social media function for my students. Will FORUM be a good option for that? Can they upload video? Is this a huge data suck for students that don’t have unlimited data plans?
It has to be specific to each course, right?
So I need to divvy up office hours per course?
(That’s why I use calendly…)
Elise: I’m doing two open office hours sessions each week. One in the morning and one in the evening.
I’m planning something similar, but also calendly bookings for those who want to count on 1:1…
Yes, same. But, I’m trying to reserve most of my 1:1 time for advisees and senior thesis writers.
Improve writing skills?
(I get it about citation, but… I’m not sure I trust them on how to write critically…)
(Turnitin also profits from helping students check whether papers “bought” from paper mills will pass muster…)
Thanks, Bonnie. I have to go to another meeting.
Honor Code is worth reiterating…

I’m planning to give some make up exams, proctoring by Zoom
I’ve been using google docs for this kind of workshopping and we are going to do more, is this workshop tool better?
One nice thing is that whatever the terms are, they show up as LINKS whenever they’re used elsewhere on your site.
(for the glossary)
HI Lori, I would say if you’ve been using Google docs and you’re happy with it, keep with it
Yes, thanks for asking about Perusall!
Does Perusalll work with only pdfs?
OK, Perusall does ask if you have a content management system, and points us toward making the account within our system first...
So, we ignore that.
If we already have added all our documents to Moodle, do they have to be added again to Perusals?
Rachel and I just confirmed that moodle chat was pretty bad in various ways…
The question was specifically about chat function, compared to things like WhatsApp, for chatting among students when they’re not “in session"
Thanks everyone! If anyone wants a partner in checking out some interactive features, I’m happy to try things in the next few days. I’ve got a zoom appt with student now. Good luck!
Gotta run! Thank you to Bonnie and all of the ITS/Pedagogy family at Wesleyan. This is much easier due to your tireless efforts.
Thank you Bonnie—and Rachel. Hope you can get some rest this weekend. Cheers!

In grade book for quiz, it is possible to give students full credit (say 4 points) simply for completion of the quiz?
I have to leave. Thanks, Bonnie!
Many thanks to Bonnie, Rachel and ITS for your invaluable help! I have to go. Saludos y gracias, Bonnie!
Thanks so much Bonnie!!!
Thank you, Bonnie!
I was just trying
Perusall, and it’s not working...
thank you so much!
The “select content” area is greyed out.
AND this is after I made the account and set up the content at Perusall.
Thank you Bonnie, and thank you Rachel—you are very appreciated!!!!
for setting up Perusall, do we integrate with LMS or students access directly?
Stephen H. Devoto
Thank you Bonnie!
Good luck everyone!!
